Kano State High Court, number four, presided over by Justice Usman Na’abba, that earlier on slammed an order suspending Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has reversed self vacating same order.

In an earlier ex-parte order, the immediate past Governor of Kano state, now National Chairman of the ruling APC was prohibited from parading himself as such, after one Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani Barguma who claim to be the Chairman and Secretary respectively of the APC Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state, have secured an order suspending Ganduje as the Chairman of the party.

However, in a twist of events the presiding Judge of the State High Court Justice Usman Na’Abba said, while vacating his earlier order, that upon reading a Motion Ex-Parte together with 27 paragraph affidavit in support and a written address dated the 22nd day of April, 2024 sworn to by one Glory Adah a Litigation Secretary in the 4th respondent’s solicitors law firm.

“And after hearing, Mr. L. O. Oyewo Esq, with A. Falana Esq and J. Essiet Esq counsels of the 4th Respondent/Applicant, an order of interim injunction is hereby granted”.

“An order of interim injunction is here by granted staying the execution of the order of interim injunction contained in the ruling of this court delivered on the 17th April, 2024 directing parties to maintain status quo ante as at the 15th day of April, 2024 in relation to the suspension of the 4th respondent/applicant from the 1st respondent by the Ganduje Ward Executives Committee pending the hearing and determination of the 4th respondent/applicant Motion on notice.

“The Judge then adjourned to 30th day of April, 2024 for hearing in the matter” part of the court order reads.

In related development, the the Kano Secretary of the APC, K/Alhaji Zakari Sarina, has said that the National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji (Dr) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, was not disturbed by the activities of sponsored agents in his ward.

He was reacting on Monday following a row over a fresh suspension by a new group that claimed to be the ward’s excos and suspended Ganduje, and he dismissed the purported actions saying it is “null and void.”

He therefore stated that “from available records, those behind the latest oddity are political jobbers who have offered themselves for pecuniary benefits at behest of dignity” he stated.
