The National House of Assembly, Special Committee on Crude Oil Thefts, has issued a strong warning against those involved in the dastardly act of the nation’s oil stealing that the era is over and anybody found to be involved in it will face the wrath of the law.

The chairman of the special committee, Ado Doguwa, said in a released he personally signed, that the APC-led government will not allow such act that lead the country into unnecessary borrowing.

“We cannot in anyway afford to allow our Tinubu, APC-led government continue to wallow into global borrowing as a result of consequential leakages in the production circle of the oil and gas sector.”

“The unfortunate act is largely caused by youth restiveness and unacceptable vandalisation of our critical infrastructure by vandals and criminals in the creeks, and this has to stop” he stated.

Ado Doguwa, further said that the committee was mandated by the Speaker Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, to unravel and unearth the remote and immediate causes of these devastating economic earthquake within the oil and gas sector of the nation’s economy.

“The committee vows to do all it takes to save the present Tinubu-led administration from these unfortunate happenings in the oil producing areas. We will make sure the committee brings to book the culprits and their political cohorts” he added.

Doguwa further warned that, “the attendant consequences of these dastardly crimes against the economy will obviously not allow our economy to breath. President Tinubu’s commitment and determination to bring prosperity and economic wellbeing to our people is non-negotiable by whatever guise.

“The legislative agenda of the 10th National Assembly as rolled out by our leader, the Rt. Hon Speaker Abbas Tajuddeeen, will help the government deliver on its overall commitments to the people of the federal republic of Nigeria.

“We can not in anyway afford to allow our Tinubu/APC-led government continue to wallow into global borrowing as a result of consequential leakages in the production circle of the oil and gas sector, largely caused by youth restiveness and unacceptable vandalisation of our critical infrastructure by vandals and criminals in the creeks” he declared.
