A renown Kaduna Cleric based in Zaria, Sheikh Sherif Awwal Zaria, has blasted former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru Elrufai accusing him of mistreating and inflicting sorrow in the lives of various individuals.
In a video clip that has gone viral on social media, showing him delivering religious sermon, the cleric also condemned Elrufai for looking down on the holy Quran when he alleged that Elrufai declared that not even reciting the Chapter of Yasin of the holy Quran to seek God’s intervention against him will affect him and boasted that he would even pay for the sacrifice to be done as a result.
The cleric dared Elrufai saying he should bring the money for the sacrifice and see what will happen.
“It is now time for you to reap what you sow. You claimed that Yasin doesn’t work on you, and that you can even pay for the sacrifice. Yasin is not fake, it is the heart of the Quran and I dare you to pay for the sacrifice and see what will happen” he said.
The cleric stated that it is the law of Karma that has started hunting Elrufai and will certainly swallow him in no time.
He further stated that Elrufai has just started seeing the bad side of life and will continue to see it for the rest of his life as did the children of Israel during the forty years of their punishment.
Some of those mentioned by the cleric as victims of Elrufai’s misdoings include late Justice Bashir Sambo who he said spent the rest of his life asking God Almighty to punish Elrufai for inflicting harm in his life.
He mentioned that God is also punishing Elrufai for what he did to the late Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Idris who he said Elrufai molested publicly in his position as a first class Emir in the state.
“You have not seen anything yet, the worse is yet to befall you” Sheikh Sherif said.
Sheikh Sherif also said that Elrufai betrayed Barnabas Bala Bantex, he mentioned the role played by Elrufai in removing Justice Samuel Onnonghen from his position as Chief Justice of Federation and also condemned Elrufai for falsely accusing Sambo Dasuki of treasonable felony.
He finally advised every responsible politician to stay away from Elrufai or else he will destroy himself by being with him.
However, the cleric stated that he is keeping silent on a lot of things in order not to hurt Bello Elrufai his son, who he said has a good soul and is a good person that is very philanthropic.
