The Bauchi state governor, Bala Muhammad, has been called upon to allow some time to see the reality of the policies of the renewed hope agenda of president Bola Ahmad Tinubu which are genuine and focused.
The call was made by the leader of Concerned Nigerian Forum of Bauchi (CNF), Garba Nasir in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday.
Responding to the address delivered earlier by the Bauchi state governor pointing accusing fingers at the president that his policies are not addressing the yearnings of Nigerians, Nasir said he is only being political and not realistic.
He added that the state governors have benefitted from the N570 billion given to them by president Tinubu with which hardship is expected to be alleviated.
“The renewed hope agenda of president Bola Tinubu is addressing the needs of Nigerians and yearnings of Nigerians which require time to be addressed.
“As we entered the subsidy withdrawal regime, the president has made more funds available to the states to address the problems of the people with about N570 billion, but the governors are yet to engage in that.
“We must commend the president for the housing scheme to produce 5000 housing units across the country. This is commendable.
“In the education sector, the president has provided funds for students to undergo their studies, irrespective of their status through the students loan scheme.
“It is the president that instructed that crude be sold in Naira to refineries in the country in order to resolve the problem of the pump price of fuel, this is also commendable” he stated.
He called on the Bauchi state governor to give more time and see what the outcome will be with the current adjustments and also utilize the funds he is receiving from the federal government for the betterment of the people of his state.
