Sen. Sani Musa, Chairman of the Senate, Committee on Finance has made an impassioned appeal for peace and dialogue amidst the ongoing protests in Nigeria.

This is contained in a statement issued by himself and made available to newsmen in Kano.

As the protests enter their second day, Senator Musa urged leaders and organizers to prioritize the country’s welfare and call off the protest to prevent further bloodshed, loss of lives, and property destruction.

He emphasized that violence only deepens wounds and hinders constructive conversation and mutual understanding, which are essential for resolving differences and building a better future.

Senator Musa expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria’s progress, unity, and prosperity, but stressed that this vision can only be realized through peace and cooperation.

He noted that the protesters’ demands can only be addressed in an atmosphere of peace and harmony, and that violence will only delay resolution and prolong suffering.

Senator Musa called on all Nigerians to reject violence, seek dialogue, and work towards peaceful conflict resolution, emphasizing that unity and perseverance are key to overcoming challenges and building a stronger, more united Nigeria.
