Prof. Al-Bishak Honoured At Send Forth By Federal University, Lokoja

The staff of the Department of English and Literary Studies, Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State, have recently given a rousing reception in honor of its outgoing Sabbatical staff, Professor Mallam Al-Bishak.

Al-Bishak, who is an academic staff of the same department at the Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State, was commended by the staff of the Lokoja varsity for his “scholarly contributions” during the period of his service, from July 2023 to June 2024.

He was presented with a beautiful portrait in appreciation of his service.

Among the staff present at the reception were Prof. Gbenga Ibileye, Provost, College of Postgraduate School and former HoD (English); Prof. Bamidele Ayodele, Dean of Arts and former HoD (English) and Prof. Aito Ofure, Director, Center for Gender Studies.

Others are Prof. Abel Joseph, Director, Center for General Studies; and Dr Peter Okpeh, the current HoD (English).

The honoree, Prof. Al-Bishak, is flanked by some of the prominent staff, and has been appointed as a Visiting Professor to the department.
