On behalf of myself, my family and the good people of Kano State, I am writing to extend my appreciation to the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for finding me suitable for an appointment at the Hadejia Jamaare River Basin Development Authority.
It is an honor for the Kano people in general and especially members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to be saddled with the responsibility and a clear indication of the positive vision of the president towards our dear state and the nation at large.
It is pertinent to note that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration has continued to manifest in it s practicality with this development. Moreover the visionary leadership of His Excellency Mr President has been proved with the approval for construction of the Kano northern bypass put forward by The member representing Bichi Hon Abba Bichi which will ease the transportation challenges faced from Kano to the northeastern part of Nigeria.
Similarly the desire of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu s administration to complete the Kano to Kaduna and to Abuja expressway as well as the most coveted Ajaokuta – Kaduna – Kano AKK pipeline project which is slated for completion in 2025 further attest to the fact that Mr President meant well for Kano and the North.
It is more convincing with the inauguration of the technical committee on the evaluation of dams I say without mincing words that the Kano dams including the Challawa gorge dam and Tiga dam among others will see a boost for the betterment of irrigation under the various efforts of the Hon Minister Joseph Utsev to harness these facilities in Kano.
With the appropriation of 95 billion Naira for the rehabilitation of dams in Kano secured by senator Kawu Sumaila the southern part of the state will also bear witness to the good work of Mr President.
The kick off of the north west development commission with the support and insistence of the Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin which will bring prosperity to the region goes a long way in proving the concern and proclivity this administration has for the Kano people and the North West as well.
I once again express my sincere indebtedness to Mr President for the appointment and also thank the National Chairman of the APC Dr Abdullah Ganduje and the Deputy Senate President and the teeming well wishers who had felicitated with me on this while repositioning towards the success of the APC now and in the future
