Kano State House of Assembly has cleared Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, son of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, as commissioner and member of the state executive council despite criticisms by opposition in the state.
Among those also cleared is Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, former Commissioner for Land that was sacked in September, 2023 for issuing death threat to Judges of Kano Election Petition Tribunal.
for threatening lives of Tribunal Judges.
Others include, Abdujjabbar Umar Garko and Shehu Sule Aliyu Karaye.
Mustapha is the eldest son of Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 General elections,
They were all nominated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and sent to the State House of Assembly for clearance.
Confirming their nomination during the plenary on Tuesday, the legislature presided by Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ismail Falgore asked the nominees to simply take a bow.
This is even as prior to his confirmation, Kwankwaso, took a brief of his educational background and his brief working experience with a Federal government project before he ventured into private business.
