A Nigerian, Prince Emre Maghoh, living in Turkey has targeted 100 students in each of the 19 Northern states for registration of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination this year.
This was made known at a gathering on Sunday in Kano where beneficiaries were given cash to go and register for the JAMB Examination.
Maghoh, a Nigerian of Igbo descent, who grew up in Kano before he went to live in Turkey and leads the Nigerian Community there, is also the founder of the Sky Hope Foundation that is funding the students.
Delivering an address at the event, the beneficiaries, the National Secretary, Northern Nigeria Youths for Progress, Aminu Umar expressed gratitude to the Sky Hope Foundation on behalf of the beneficiaries.
“I stand before you today as the National Secretary of the North Nigeria Youth for Progress, to express our deepest gratitude to Ambassador, Prince Emre Maghoh, Founder of the Sky Hope Foundation for their remarkable gesture of sponsoring free JAMB registration for northern Nigerian students.
“This selfless act has brought hope and relief to numerous young people in our region, who were struggling to secure their future due to financial constraints. Sky Hope Foundation’s intervention has not only alleviated the burden of JAMB registration fees but has also demonstrated their commitment to empowering northern Nigerian youths.
“We acknowledge that education is the bedrock of development, and Sky Hope Foundation’s initiative has paved the way for many deserving students to access tertiary education. This gesture will undoubtedly have a ripple effect, inspiring positive change in our communities and contributing to the growth and development of our nation” he stated.
He further called on other groups and individuals to borrow a leaf from the founder of Sky Hope Foundation and support the weak irrespective of their regional or tribal inclinations
“We urge other organizations and well-meaning individuals to emulate Sky Hope Foundation’s example, by investing in the education and empowerment of youths irrespective of their tribal religious or regional inclination” he stated.
