Hizbah (Shari’a Police in Kano) have recovered a total of N212,334,084,900:00 in 2024 and successfully returned the monies to their lawful owner in 2024.

This was made known recently in an interview with newsmen in Kano by the Assistant Commander General, Kano state Hisbah, Mujahideen Aminudden.

Aminuddeen was briefing newsmen on the achievements of the Shari’a Police in the year 2024 and it’s plans for the year 2025 where he said the amount were recovered by Hizbah in issues related to business disputes, inheritance and debts.

“In the year 2024, we received 16,939 complains that included domestic disputes among couples, business disputes, inheritance, community disputes and debts.

“We were able to achieve 7,884 reconciliations in the said period, which is an achievement worth mentioning.

“We have gone out for 885 operations across the state in which we arrested 354 and took them before the court of law for various violations.

“We also had 2,836 criminal cases that were brought before the Hizbah. Some of these cases include those that have to do with debt recovery in rents, business arrangements, inheritance and the likes.

“What will interest you to know is that Hizbah does all these without any commission cuts or percentages in any form. All the recoveries and returns were made freely” he explained.

However, he added that the Hizbah has plans and resolutions for the year 25 which it hopes will bring about peace and progress in the state.

“This year under our Commander General, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, we have five resolutions we hope to achieve. These are, public awareness, poverty alleviation, instilling morality, supporting skills acquisition and start up capitals and cooperating with anyone that is willing to support and promote peace and progress of the state” he added.
