The leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has described what he had contributed to the education sector as his life legacy and not the, roads, flyovers, electrification and underpasses he had done in Kano.

Kwankwaso stated this while delivering a keynote address at his 68th birthday in Kano on Monday organized in his honor by the Skyline University Nigeria.

He stated that he will continue to support the education sector at both graduate and post graduate levels because that is the only legacy one can leave behind in his life.

“My legacy is not the flyovers, underpasses, five kilometer roads, rural electrification and the like that I have done, what I consider as my legacy are the Yusuf Maitama Sule University and the Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil.

“I want to assure the people of Kano state and Nigeria in general that I will continue to support the education sector to ensure that we develop our people.

“I feel very gratified whenever I see people that are beneficiaries of these things we have done that have today become scholars” he stated.

In commemoration of the birthday event, the Skyline University Nigeria unveiled a new ultramoderen auditorium.

Kwankwasiyya Development Foundation also sponsored the training of 100 youths in a three months program on humanitarian studies, while another 150 are to be trained by the state government on entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity.

More so, 1,000 school teachers have been selected to be trained in the next two days on Computer knowledge.

The celebrant also announced a colloquium that will hold at his residence on the same day where he will commemorate with 341 graduates that benefited from his scholarship scheme.
