Bullet Hits Journalist In Kano Govt House

A Journalist that reports for the Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) popularly known as Naziru Idris Ya’u has confirmed that he was hit by stray bullet at the Kano State Government House on Friday.

Although he is injured as a result of shot, the injury was however, not so severe and the shrapnel have been removed.

“We were standing around gate three area when I received the shot on my arm. It did not penetrate much because I removed it by myself.

“It must have come from somewhere very far, outside the government house. Because with the way it was it had already weakened.

“In the meantime, the security have moved into investigation on the matter” he stated.

The security at the Government House have resumed investigation into the incident even as they confirm the shot was not from their arms.

Several hours after the incident, the state government is yet issue any statement concerning the incident which occured on the International Press Freedom Day.
