Following an early morning incident where a mosque in which about 40 persons were performing the early morning prayer was set ablaze by a man, the perpetrator has willingly submitted himself to the police. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has initiated a monthly empowerment program providing N50,000 to 5,200 women in the state. This is contained in a statement issued by governor spokesperson Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Tuesday.
