APC Jigawa Integrity Group, has debunked in misinformation going round on both conventional and social media platforms that, the immediate past Minister of Defence and two terms Governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, is in secret talks with the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC).

This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday and signed by the coordinator of the APC Integrity Group, Auwal Shuaibu Gumel,

“The misinformation going on, is obviously the handiwork of his detractors, and enemies of our dear state Jigawa.

“They are hellbent on severing and causing friction between his Excellency Mohammed Badaru and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The relationship between Mr President and Badaru is unbreakable and unshakable” part of the statement reads.

“How can someone tolled to build, furnish and design a beautiful house, only for him to abandon it and move to a dilapidated house? Never. Those who fear HE Muhammad Badaru, are the ones spreading this imaginary and senseless narrative.

“Since his resignation after a meritious service to nation, and tendering to his health, HE Muhammad Badaru, is taking a well deserved rest. But, as leader of the APC in Jigawa, his support base is intact. He is in constant touch with his base in Jigawa and across the northwest region and the entire country,” he added.

Gumel further elaborated on Badaru’s unwavering commitment to the APC, saying, “HE Muhammad Badaru Abubakar remains a pillar of strength for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection bid. Even in his well-deserved rest, he is actively working behind the scenes, mobilizing grassroots support and strategizing for the APC’s victory in Jigawa and beyond. His influence in Jigawa is unmatched—two terms as Governor transformed our state with infrastructure, education, and economic growth that still resonates today. Badaru’s political machinery is solidly behind Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, ensuring continuity and progress.”

Dismissing the rumors outright, he said, “This purported move to ADC is nothing but a figment of imagination from desperate mischief-makers. HE Badaru’s loyalty to APC and President Tinubu is ironclad; no amount of fake news can erode it. Our party structure in Jigawa stands united under his leadership.”

Finally, Gumel, urged all teeming supporters of the APC, and Badaru to remain firm, and resolute, and reaffirm beliefs in the Renewed Hope Agenda of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which is working well in spite of challenges.

He called for vigilance against divisive propaganda, emphasizing unity as key to Jigawa’s development and national progress under Tinubu’s administration.
