In her response to the seven day ultimatum given to her to apologize, by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, the popular northern Nigeria politician, Naja’atu Muhammad, declares that she stands by her words.
Naja’atu remains defiant, insisting she she is ready to defend her statement before the court.
She spoke in an interview with Premier Radio, a local station in Kano, Tuesday night where she reiterated her position.
“If NSA Nuhu Ribadu feels he can take legal action as he claimed, he can take me up to the Supreme Court,” she stated.
Naja’atu further asserted that Ribadu’s past remarks about Tinubu are publicly available on social media and YouTube.
“His statement labeling President Tinubu as the most corrupt governor during his days as EFCC chairman is there for everybody to access. I am not retracting my statement,” she declared.
The National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu has written a politician and leader of Northern Star, Hajia Naja’atu Muhammad, demanding public apology and retraction over an alleged malicious statement in a TikTok video shared across all social media platforms.
In the TikTok video, Hajia Naja’atu allegedly accused the NSA of serving in President Bola Tinubu’s government, whom he castigated when he was the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a letter, through his lawyer, Dr Ahmed Raji, SAN, the NSA said he has never maintained such viewpoint either publicly or in the private.
Ribadu said the damage that had been done as a result of the TikTok video was unquantifiable.
