The Nigeria Patriotic Front Movement (NPFM) has lamented over the hardship faced by Nigerians under president Bola Tinubu, saying that he does not feel pains of what Nigerians are going through as against what he claims.

Addressing newsmen over the weekend, the Chairman of the the group, Comrade Abdulmajid Yakubu, alleged that the president only uses the statement that he feels the pains of Nigerians as a joker whenever they cry out.

“He seem more adept at striking deals with foreigners than listening to Nigerian workers and toilers about their suffering under his harsh economic policy. His usual answer is that ‘I feel your pain, I know you are suffering’. Sorry Mr. President, you don’t” he declared.

While also condemning the withdrawal of fuel subsidy without consultation that led to the rise in price of petrol by more than 600 percent, with a litre costing N1,200, he said that the president is not aware of what Nigerians are going through.

“If you did, you would have visited our states to see things for yourself, instead of flying to Paris and London. You would have been to the markets and ghettos of our major cities and villages to do on the spot assessment.

“But we are not your priority. Your priorities are clear: Raising revenue for your government at our expense and adding our daily hardships and cost of living pain” he added.

He condemned the breakdown in public administration in the country that affects both civil and armed services, warned against the implementation of IMF policies that would lead worsens poverty, corruption and insecurity.

The NPFM also called on the working class to unite and resist the coming privatization exercise saying “we must not allow the regime to consolidate it’s hold over what remains of our national assets. This brazen capture of state resources by a few hands is a glaring violation of Chapter 2 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He finally said that a better future for Nigeria is possible if “we push for social transformation in unity for the common good. Only determined and committed patriots can fulfil this mission for development, freedom and social justice in Nigeria.”
