Following the shocking death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Ra’isi, world leaders, clergy and others have begun sending condolence messages.

Nigerian Christian clergy, Pastor Yohannah Buru, General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna State, Nigeria, has also joined global leaders in sending condolences to the people of Iran and Muslims worldwide over the shocking death of President Raisi in a helicopter crash.

In his message of condolence to the people of Iran and Muslims worldwide, Pastor Buru, expressed his shock over the president’s death and prayed to Almighty God to grant him paradise.

“Ebrahim Raisi’s death is all over the media. I read in a newspaper about the sudden death of the Iranian president in a helicopter crash. My heartfelt condolences to his family and the people of Iran” he stated.

Iran’s president, foreign minister, and others were found dead at the helicopter crash site, according to state media.

He noted that most newspapers reported that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, the country’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and others were found dead at the site of a helicopter crash on Monday after an hours-long search through a foggy, mountainous region in the country’s northwest. Raisi was 63.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the Iranian government and people over the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and those accompanying them following this tragic accident. We pray that God grants them eternal rest and we extend our heartfelt sympathies to their families,” he added.

The Pastor also sympathized with the people of Iran and Muslim leaders worldwide, saying he is “deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic demise of President Raisi” after Iranian media reported his death in a helicopter crash.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei, and to the nation of Iran, its government, and people. We express our solidarity with the brotherly Iranian people and the officials of the Islamic Republic during this painful tragedy,” he added.

Pastor Buru also used the opportunity to extend his condolences to the people of Kano over the mosque attack that resulted in a rising death toll of 15.

He conveyed his sympathies to the Kano State government and Muslims across Nigeria regarding the Kano incident and called for ceaseless prayers.
