Over 100 Escape From Correctional Centre In Suleja

The BBC Hausa service has on Thursday reported that 118 prisoners have escaped the Correctional Service Centre (CSC) at Suleja, Nigeria State, after the wall of the centre collapsed due to heavy downpour.

The spokesperson of the CSC at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Adamu Duza has in a statement he released on Thursday stated that “due to the heavy downpour that lasted 24 hours, parts of the Correctional Service Centre were destroyed and 118 inmates have escaped”.

However, am official of the CSC told the BBC that 10 out of the 118 that escaped have been rearrested. Meanwhile, 108 are still wanted.
