Borno Gov Appoints 272 Board Members, Aides

168 Special Assistants and 104 Board Members for the 15 agencies and commissions of Borno state have been appointed by the Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum.

This was disclosed by the Secretary to the State Government, Bukar Tijjani, in a statement issued on Monday, in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

He explained that the appointees comprise nine Senior Technical Assistants (STA), 81 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), and 78 Special Assistants (SAs).

Tijjani also listed 104 others as chairmen and board members of 15 agencies and commissions.

Part of the statement reveals, “the appointment was done based on powers conferred on the Governor by the provisions of Section 208 (2) d of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.”
